The Bridgewater Club is a 750-acre upscale residential golf course community, centrally located between Carmel and Westfield, Indiana, between 146th and 161st Street, and Gray and Carey Road, just one mile east of State Road 31 (Meridian). The Bridgewater Club includes the Dye Course, a new private championship 18- hole golf course designed by Pete Dye and The Preserve Academy, which constitutes nearly 240 of the 750 acres.
The golf courses are woven among thousands of trees and mature woods, as well as 24 lakes and ponds, mixed residential and commercial uses. The result is a synergistic merger of an outstanding championship golf course, The Preserve Academy course, an upscale, integrated residential community, swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness center, trail system, and spectacular clubhouse. There are multiple residential areas that appeal to a diversity of life styles, and includes 2-acre estate lots, large custom lots, town homes, golf villas and condominiums. The commercial uses include the Marketplace and an office-flex area, both located adjacent to Gray Road. The Marketplace establishes viable neighborhood shopping intended to provide retail and local business to The Bridgewater Club and surrounding communities. The buildings are designed to accommodate neighborhood businesses and to appeal to a pedestrian sense of scale, while accommodating automobiles and golf carts. The clubhouse of The Bridgewater Club began construction in January of 2004 and was completed in February of 2005. Prior to the start of the construction on the clubhouse, two lakes were created and framed with Indiana Limestone, the signature feature seen throughout the Bridgewater community. The lakes are located just south of the existing clubhouse. These water features serve as a beautiful backdrop to the clubhouse and provide a wonderful ambience for those dining or enjoying a refreshment on the “screened-in” veranda. They also enhance the privacy for golfers practicing on the driving range. The construction of the new 70,000 square foot clubhouse expansion was supervised by our General Contractors, Shiel Sexton. The clubhouse was designed by S. Vic Jones and Associates out of Dallas, Texas. Vic Jones has been responsible for the design of over 200 clubhouses around the United States. Many of his previous projects have won awards for outstanding design. We are confident that our new clubhouse will serve as a tremendous tribute to our great Club and will provide many opportunities for a better way of life for our Members and their families. The design of this clubhouse was given careful and serious consideration in regards to every facet of the presentation and functionality. |
